Lisa Chase

Back 2 Normal Physical Therapy was founded by Lisa Chase, PT, OMPT in 1998. Lisa is an internationally recognized physical therapist, educator, lecturer and published author.

Her clients greatly benefit from her compassionate healing and wealth of knowledge obtained through 20 years of physical therapy and sports medicine services. Lisa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 and completed a post-graduate certification in advanced orthopedic manual therapy in 1995, is Polestar Pilates trained, and is a M.E.L.T Hand and Foot Instructor with specialty in rehabilitation and wellness.

For the better part of the last decade, Lisa served as the Director of Sport Sciences & Medicine, Athlete Care and Primary Health Care Provider for the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour (Professional Women’s Tennis Association); during which Lisa worked closely with professional athletes and medical teams around the world bringing cutting edge services and programs to the field of sports medicine, woman’s health and tennis.
Covering national and international events such as the Australian Open, US Open, Wimbeldon, and Roland Garros, Lisa has worked one-on-one with world-class athletes, coaches, health, medical and fitness specialists to help prevent injuries, decrease recovery time and optimize performance. During the 2004 Olympics in Athens Greece, Lisa served as the Primary Health Care Provider for the International Tennis Federation. Lisa has also brought her expertise to the Toronto Blue Jays, English Premier League and was appointed Sports Physical Therapy Consultant to the Clearwater Chargers Soccer Academy.

Lisa Chase is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Michigan State University, in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she has been an instructor to physicians and physical therapists since 1998. She has conducted press interviews, appeared as regular guest speaker on TV show Prescription for Health, is a speaker at internationally conferences and is a published author in the British Journal of Sports Medicine as well as several books on Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Lisa Chase is a member of the Orthopedic and Women’s Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science. She was selected in 2010 as Executive of the Year of the Biltmore Who’s Who Executive and Professional Registry to recognize her commitment to excellence in the sports, entertainment and healthcare industries.

Kelli Barber

Kelli Barber joined Back 2 Normal Physical Therapy in Sept 2010 as an Administrative Assistant and recently moved to St Petersburg to join the practice full time as a Rehabilitation Specialist.

Kelli brings over 14 years of experience through direct patient care as a medical, rehabilitation and nursing assistant in a variety of fields including, rehabilitation, post trauma, pre/post-operative care and outpatient orthopaedic and sports medicine. She has worked with highly reputable organizations such as The Cleveland Clinic Health Systems and Palm Beach Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics.

Kelli has extensive training in custom orthopaedic and sports medicine bracing, home modality devices, and is trained in laser therapy. She recently completed an advanced certification as a full M.E.L.T Instructor. Kelli’s compassion also led her to become a certified caregiver with training in pediatrics and special needs populations.

Kelli is currently pursuing advanced certifications in fitness and corrective exercise, laser therapy and a licensure in massage therapy. Kelli’s up beat energy and high standard for patient satisfaction makes her a great addition to Back 2 Normal.
