Commit To Exercise
Exercise has many benefits such as prevention of disease and injury, boosts metabolism, improves sleep, helps your mood and gives you more energy. To assist in staying committed to a regular exercise program try these tips.
Commitment Tips:
- Staying active is key, so find a form of exercise or activity that resonates with you and keep moving.
- Incorporate cardiovascular activities such as walking or cycling, resistive/core exercise and corrective exercises to help maintain/restore good movement patterns.
- Invite a friend or loved one to join you in exercising or consider joining an exercise group for “a cause”, such as Race for the Cure or Team in Training, which helps keep you motivated, meet new friends, get in shape and gives the gift of giving back.
- Set a realistic goal, write it down & post it where you can see it every day. Make an appointment with yourself and put it on your calendar to help you stay on track.
