Back and neck problems rarely occur from one incident or injury. It is often the result of poor posture, improper lifting and twisting, stressful living and work habits, lack of flexibility and core stability.
Try these tips to keep a healthy back and neck:
- When sitting, keep your low back supported.
- Use a cervical roll to improve the neck support by rolling up a towel and putting it inside at the bottom of your pillowcase.
- Incorporate Pilates or Yoga into your exercise routine.
- Use proper lifting techniques-bend knees, keep slight arch in low back, tighten stomach muscles and keep the item close to body.
